The Beginning of the End
592 is the last course I will be taking to complete my Boise State Master’s degree in Educational Technology with a certificate as a tech integration specialist. I began my studies back in the summer of 2010 and it has been a long road towards completion. It feels great to be in the home stretch. My intention is to use this site to complete my course as I have with two other courses before it. I cannot say that this course in particular will have direct application to my teaching. Most of my courses have resulted in several projects that I can use in the classroom. 592 seems to be a summation and reflection based course centered around proving that I am a competent tech educator. After graduation I plan to apply for technology jobs in education or try my hand at applying teaching principles in the world of business. Regardless of how these plans work out I can always do freelance web design and teach music privately. There are many possibilities but one thing is certain; in early May I will end this part of my tech journey knowing that I have taken a big step along the path of the tech educator.

Here is my introductory video as required by our week 1 work. It was a pleasure to make and edit. I have become fairly proficient at videography over the course of my studies. I used lighting to reduce shadows and edited out a mechanical noise my camera was making when the video was taken. I edited the video on iMovie and added in background music from Josh Woodward (which was used under creative commons license).
